At the David Academy of Performing Arts, Perth, we love helping people discover the joy of performing arts. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned performer, a young child singer or actor, or a proud parent, we know how much joy and fun the performing arts can bring you and how rewarding it can be.
We want to help you or your child become fully engaged in the performing arts. We have trained thousands of students in musical theatre, singing, vocal technique and drama, both in Perth and overseas. We have shared their triumphs and joys as they have discovered their own unique talents and performance abilities.
We have seen our students blossom into the stars they were meant to be and are proud of our rich history of producing award-winning students and critically acclaimed concerts, festivals, and theatre productions.
We are passionate about what we do.
At DAPA, we specialise in the teaching of vocal technique for singers, as well as musical theatre which combines singing, acting and dance to help performers develop what we like to call “The Total Performance Package”.
When you choose the David Academy of Performing Arts you’re choosing singing and musical theatre tuition of the highest quality and a performing arts school that is genuinely dedicated to the development and success of each and every one of its students.
Not only do we understand that the performing arts is singular in its ability to develop the whole person – cognitively, mentally, emotionally, socially, behaviorally, personally and physically – but we know that being involved in performing arts is also lots of FUN.
At DAPA, we specialise in teaching kids, teenagers and adults of all ages. Our fully trained and professional teachers can lead the way to make you or your child’s dreams come alive!
Whether you’re looking for some voice training, to perfect your craft, a chance to perform, to learn drama and experience theatre, or simply looking to express your artistic ability and connect with others in a fun, social activity, DAPA has a program to suit your needs.
It was on the 2nd of May 2005, that I walked in as a 6-year-old girl to the Auditorium together with my mum and dad, to audition for the school.Since then this class has just become a part of me.
Andre and Dinali are both such talented, experienced individuals who are full of passion for music and performing arts that I feel so lucky to be able to be taught.
Our daughter Jasmine first showed an interest in singing when she was about 10 years old. We noticed she could hold a tune quite well and she was always singing around the house.
As a parent you will love the chance to watch them grow in confidence and creativity. You can give them and their natural talents the best opportunity to shine
